Graphic Design Contest
The time has come to make our new programs for the entire season and we have a contest for the cover art. Anyone ages 6-18 may enter as many entries as they want. The size must be 8.5"Hx5.5"W and be at least 300dpi and in color. You must incorporate our logo and the phrase "2012 Season" into the design. Entries must be submitted by June 4th and can be emailed to info@msyt.org. Please include your name, age, and grade in your email. For questions please contact Erika at epyle@msyt.org. Good Luck!
Technicians Needed
Participating in theatre as an actor is a great way to learn and be involved
in theatre. So is being a technician and you will gain valuable skills to use
throughout life and in your theatre career. We are in need of volunteer
technicians for our next production of Beauty and the Beast. We have
opportunities for people of all ages to be as involved as they want by working
backstage or in pre-production. Backstage technicians will have to be
available for all technical rehearsals and performances (July 7-13, 18-20,
25-29) or you can help put out posters, rack cards, and help create props and
costumes in pre-production. For backstage we are looking for Assistant Stage
Managers, Set movers, Fly crew, Spotlight Operator and a Wardrobe Mistress.

Beach Noodle Puppets
May 19th 12-2 PM
Ages 5-11
Join Yostie for storytelling and create your own puppets that can dance,
sing and tell stories. Each participant will make a cardboard stage for
performing and their own puppet using beach noodles and other supplies. Join
us for all the fun!

Juggling Stuff Workshop
June 23rd 9AM - Noon
Ages 10-18
Learn balancing, crystal stix, juggling, and performing skills at the
JuggleStuff Workshop. Each student will receive a set of Crystal Stix and
Juggling Balls of their own.This workshop will build confidence step by step
as we learn basic balancing, Crystal Stix techniques, and then a simple
cascade juggling pattern. Those already familiar with basic juggling will
learn advance techniques with rings and clubs. Everyone participant will
learn the basic techniques of performing through juggling including busking
routines (street performing), comedy, and audience interaction.
