Main Street Youth Theatre is kicking off the 2018 show season with Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, with eight showtimes starting March 2. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at the MSYT website tickets page (http://msyt.org/tickets).

Originally presented as a television extravaganza, this famous fairy tale has been re-fashioned and set to music by two great masters of the musical. The characters are given greater depth plus a more human quality, and it is only through Cinderella’s innocent faith in a miracle that allows her wish to go to the ball to come true. Musical highlights include “In My Own Little Corner”, “A Lovely Night”, “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?” and “Impossible.”

MSYT celebrated its 20th anniversary season in 2017 with the retrospective show This is Our Story, featuring a tribute to the late Judy Gallagher. The 2018 season will feature two shows in addition to Cinderella, with one in the summer and one in the late fall. Learn more at the http://msyt.org.
