Michelle McElroy – Director

Michelle McElroy is excited to be returning to the MSYT family after directing Grease in 2018 and All Shook Up in 2016. She is the theatre director at HH Christian Academy where favorite credits include: The Little Mermaid (2019), The Sound of Music (2018 voted Broadway World South Carolina’s Best Non-Professional Musical), and Guys & Dolls (2016). Later this summer she will direct The Outsiders at May River Theatre in Bluffton where she serves on the Board of Directors. Michelle has worked locally in a multitude of roles with Hilton Head Jazz Camp, Southeast Summer Theatre Institute and the Island School Council of the Arts driving her passion to connect a local community of fine arts professionals. High School Musical will mark her 17thdirectorial credit. While Michelle loves producing shows, her favorite component of the process is helping kids and teens discover their God-given talents and love for theater. Michelle would like to thank the MSYT Board of Directors for their support and hopes you enjoy the show!

Cynthia Cullen – Music Director

Cynthia Cullen serves as the Creative Director at Hilton Head Island Community Church. She planted HHICC in 2007 alongside her husband Todd, who serves as the Lead Pastor. Cynthia earned her Bachelors of Science in Sacred Music with a major in Piano Performance and a minor in Voice. She has served as a music director in various churches, produced records for independent music artists, toured and performed as a musician and singer, and now enjoys playing electric guitar, vocal arranging, songwriting and performing at her church. She served as Music Director last year in MSYT’s production of Greasewhich was her first theater show. She and her husband Todd have two children, Sydney and Sean and enjoy living on HHI. Sydney has been dancing with Hilton Head Dance School since she was five. Cynthia is thrilled to have Sydney a part of the ensemble in this show! Cynthia would like to thank Michelle and Jamal who have been wonderful mentors in the theater world. Special thanks to the entire cast and crew who have made this experience such a joy to be a part of once again this summer!

Jamal Edwards – Choreographer

Jamal Edwards is a graduate of The University of Alabama where he studied dance and received his B.A. in dance. He is currently a dance teacher and choreographer for Hilton Head Dance School. He has performed in many of the school productions such as TheNutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lakeand Terpsichore. Jamal has also choreographed for HHI High School, HHCA, May River Theatre, and MSYT. Jamal was the choreographer for MSYT’s production of Greaselast summer and he is thrilled to be back at MSYT with this awesome cast.

Logan Naddy – Stage Manager

Logan Naddy is a junior at LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts. This is his 11th production with MSYT and he is thankful to be back. Logan plans to continue his studies into theatre for the foreseeable future. Logan would like to thank Chevrolet and GM for enabling him to return to Hilton Head by manufacturing his car, in which he lives perfectly.
