Godspell is coming to Main Street Youth Theatre in November, with Phil Harris in the Director’s chair. Most recently, Phil directed The Music Man for MSYT in 2017. Phil came to the Low County from the Washington, DC, suburbs where he directed over 30 shows and received Best Director of a Musical and Best Director of a Play among other awards.
Some of the favorite previous shows he has directed are: Dark of the Moon (3 times!), Grease, South Pacific, The Foreigner, Big River, Monday After the Miracle, The Odd Couple (female version), Catch Me If You Can, Olympus on My Mind, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Little Shop of Horrors. This production is the 5th production of Godspell he’s worked on and the second he’s directed.
“Thanks to Main Street Youth Theatre for giving me the opportunity to once again tackle this wonderful show. It was a pleasure to work with the talented staff and cast on this show. Thank you all for welcoming me. Special thanks go to my supportive wife, Agnes for all your patience and love.”
